This coming season of Deadwood may be the last one, according to CNN. Apparently, HBO has not picked up the 0ption for a fourth season and has released the actors. At least Rome is coming back for a second season.

I never got into Deadwood and I don't know why seeing as I'm addicted to all westerns except Unforgiven.
But I'd walk across broken glass to see the next season of Rome.
So while I'm sad for you Deadwoodites, I'm pleased for me.
Deadwood and Rome are clearly cut from the same toga. Imagine Rome set in a mining camp in the Dakota territory with the liberal use of the word "cocksucker", and you have Deadwood.
I'll be sorry to see Deadwood go. Opposite of the divine Mrs. Coble, I never did get into Rome.
